The iTi, our Va'a Hoe designed specifically for smaller and lighter paddlers, up to 1m75 (5' 9"), small frame adults and younger paddlers alike.
Smaller paddlers' performance is hindered by standard V1's long waterline and volume. Lack of maneuverability and lack of control are the most common issues encountered by small frame paddlers using ill-proportioned canoes.
Additionally, the seating height and high gunnels of a typical V1 present challenges for small paddlers as they inhibit the paddle change-overs while also making the process of having one's leg reach the water to assist in doing a hard turn practically impossible or, at best, uncomfortable.
Introducing the iTi
The iTi was designed with maneuverability and ergonomics as key components to address these important issues for smaller and lighter paddlers. It also needed to be a fun canoe that's fast and had true surf capabilities. So, over a few iterations of the design, the waterline length, the volume and the rocker were adjusted in order for it to perform in all conditions the paddlers might throw at it.
Turning the iTi around a buoy becomes an easy task. Losing a race due to inefficient turns on an ill-fitted V1 becomes a thing of the past. The waterline of the iTi was optimized for small frame paddlers giving them back control of their boat rather than slipping around on a bump or having too much windage on a typical canoe that floats too high due to their lower weight.

The iTi comes in 2 versions: standard and pro.
Both standard and pro versions are built in a one-piece monocoque construction with 100% prepreg carbon fiber cured in autoclave at high temperature and high pressure.

You can customize your iTi with 16 colors for the hull, ama and logos in any combination you’d like. You can add customizations such as a deck/hull split, a colored cockpit, graphics from our catalog or a custom graphic you bring. The 100% prepreg carbon fiber iTi comes with fitted dust covers for its hull, ama and iatos.

The pro construction layup was created for paddlers looking for the best in Va'a construction in order to gain a competitive edge as well as those looking for the lightest V1 possible in order to make carrying and transporting it a breeze.
Most of the weight reduction stems from the paint used and painting process, limiting the amount of paint applied and sanding it down to a thin layer, giving the pro model a distinctive sanded-through look.
To keep the weight low, pro model hulls can only be 5 colors (pro Grey, pro White, pro Green and pro Yellow) and customizations options are limited to coloring the cockpit and logos. The ama can be any color and, unlike the standard model, the iakos can be colored.
The iTi pro comes with thicker, UV resistant fitted acrylic marine canvas covers for its hull, ama and iatos for better protection.
